Give The Gift of Hope, Peace and Comfort This Year

Dear Friends of MACAA,

Do you know Veronica? She is one of your neighbors. Maybe you have never met her, but you have a lot in common. Like you, Veronica takes pride in her ability to take care of herself and her family.  Like you, Veronica works hard in our community and is active in her children’s school. Like you, Veronica wants to ensure her family thrives, but making ends meet is a challenge — especially this year.

This year, more of our neighbors have struggled. The current economic climate and global pandemic have significantly impacted the wellbeing of so many in our community. Monticello Area Community Action Agency (MACAA) has been working to fulfil our promise: to change people's lives, embody the spirit of hope, improves communities, and make America a better place to live. We care about the entire community, and we are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other.

Our programs fulfill that promise each day. Head Start and Project Discovery offer hope for a thriving future by providing education and family support to families throughout our region. Emergency rent, mortgage, and utility funding provides peace of mind to ensure families can safely remain in their homes. The food pantry brings comfort to those in need of nutritional meals.

For the past 55 years, you — our friends and neighbors — have made it possible for MACAA to bring hope, peace, and comfort. For families struggling like Veronica and her children, MACAA has been able to offer hope and healing during these difficult times  all because of your generosity. And this year, more than ever, families in our community need your support.

We cannot end the pandemic, but together we can ensure our neighbors remain in warm, safe homes, with nutritious food, and an understanding that their friends and neighbors care deeply. This holiday season, will you join us in bringing hope, peace, and comfort to families in need?  Make your financial contribution today, and we will ensure your gift is used immediately. Your gift will enable families like Veronica’s to receive the support they need today, and the resources that will help her family thrive in the future.

Thank you for ensuring that all our neighbors can experience a hopeful, healthy holiday and peace of mind that MACAA will be there when they need them most. Because, like you, Veronica and her family are looking for hope, peace, and comfort this year.

Most sincerely,

Sarah Hanks, Ph.D.

Executive Director
